How Do You Soak Off Acrylic Nails
If you are really concerned put some Vasoline on the skin around the nail and fingertips to reduce the area the acetone is on.
How do you soak off acrylic nails. In some salons they use a new nail tip and slide it under the acrylic after soaking to pop them off. Use the nail file to just remove the top layer of the acrylic nails. Make sure you have plenty of time as removing acrylic nails can take awhile.
Make sure your nails are completely submerged and keep them in the bowl for at least 30 minutes. Then soak your fingers in the smaller bowl for about ten minutes. Put your hand in the water for about 20 minutes.
You can also soak your hands in warm water for 10 to 20 minutes first to help speed up the process. Then push the cuticles back and trim them. Use a cuticle pusher to gently scrape the acrylic from the natural nail starting at the base of the nail bed and working your way to the tip.
Leave your nails in this bowl for between 10-15 minutes and ensure that your nails are submerged the whole time. Be careful not to snip off your real nails. Soak your nails in soapy water once every couple of months in a non-detergent nail soak.
This goes without saying but be careful to not stick your fingers in liquid that is too hot After that you should be able to easily scrape the gel polish off with a metal nail file or wooden stick without damaging the acrylic underneath. You can remove acrylic nails without acetone using an acetone-free nail polish remover as a soak-off solution. Stick your hand inside the bag and let your nails soak in.
